Ridango is proud to be attending, and sponsoring an award at, the UK Bus Awards 2025 – one of the most prestigious events in the bus industry calendar. Now in its 29th year, the scheme is widely recognised as one of the most respected and influential awards programmes in the sector.
Launched in 1996 and first held at the Mansion House in the heart of London, the UK Bus Awards were founded by Chris Cheek, John Carr and a group of senior industry leaders. From the outset, the aim has been clear: to recognise, reward and inspire excellence across the bus industry. An ambition it has consistently delivered on for almost three decades.
This year, around 600 guests will gather at the iconic Troxy in London to celebrate excellence across 21 award categories. These include three new brand awards and the return of a previous category:
- Top SME Operator: a new category replacing Top Independent Operator, open to municipal, independent and wholly British Isles state-owned businesses
- Marketing for Growth
- ROSCO Award for Contribution to Safer Driving: returning after three years
- Top Contracted Operator: a new category for operators in franchised areas
Ridango is delighted to be sponsoring the Manager of the Year award. Our own Eamonn Hughes will take to the stage to present the award to this year’s winner. Successful organisations rely heavily on the skills and dedication of operational managers who deliver day in, day out. Given the operational management tools that Ridango provides to some of the largest operators in the UK and beyond, supporting this award is a natural fit.
uTrack, now part of Ridango, has a proud history with the UK Bus Awards, having won the Innovation Award in 2013. Standing on stage to receive that accolade in front of industry peers was a significant milestone for the business and a powerful recognition of the team’s work.
Several members of the Ridango team have also served as judges in previous years, giving us first-hand insight into the rigorous, transparent and highly competitive nature of the judging process. This robust approach is central to the credibility and prestige of the UK Bus Awards.
Ridango is pleased to support and actively engage with the UK Bus Awards and looks forward to contributing to the 30th anniversary event and many more years of celebrating excellence in the bus industry.
